Agewell Fresno provides information on aging and senior issues in California’s Central Valley. We believe information should be readily available, easy to access, and easy to understand. We also provide information on local events, workshops, conferences, activities, and volunteer opportunities which support older adults and their families.

Agewell Fresno is involved in local advocacy to strengthen and support providers in our aging care community. We believe aging with dignity means independence, choice, and the right to control the experience of later life.

Provider Spotlight

The Provider Spotlight highlights local Fresno providers, organizations, and groups that serve our older adult community. Here is where you will find detailed information about the services, mission, and values of our featured providers.  Information on the Fresno Alzheimer’s Association, Valley Caregivers, and the Fresno Public Library Senior Resources, and Elder Paws Senior Dog Foundation.

Directory of Senior Services

The Directory lists local Fresno agencies, providers, and organizations that serve our older adult community. We currently list assisted living facilities, and adult day care. The directory  lists all of the  licensed assisted living facilities in Fresno County as of Summer 2017. Information for this list came from the California Community Licensing Division, and/or from the California Department of Public Health.

Community Resources

Community Resources lists local news, events, conferences, and resources such as  the ombudsman program, support groups, medication disposal sites, and other helpful information for accessing services.

Social Living is all about connecting with friends.  You will find a list of senior centers and meal sites, local groups and clubs to join, activities, and other ways to have fun in Fresno.

Help At Home

When you need help at home, home care services and home health help older adults live as independently as possible in their own home. Information on these services and the various providers is found here.

Adult Day Programs & Senior Centers

Adult Day Programs provide a safe and enriching environment for older adults who need social interaction, or memory care, or have physical frailty. Older adults participate in the program by day, and return home in the late afternoon.

Assisted Living

Assisted living homes and skilled nursing facilities provide different levels of care for older adults who no longer wish to or cannot remain at home.  You will also find information on skilled nursing facility staffing levels.


Hospice offers educational, health, and supportive services for persons with a life threatening illness. Medicare beneficiaries have the cost covered  with a physician order.
