Mission
The mission of Agewell Fresno is to improve the quality of life for older adults in the Central Valley. We achieve this mission through advocacy, and providing education and information on services and supports for older adults. Our Directory of Senior Services is published once a year. We believe information should be readily available, easy to access, and easy to understand.
About Agewell Fresno
Agewell Fresno is published by Helen Miltiades, Ph.D. She received her graduate degree in Gerontology from the University of Massachusetts/Boston and completed postdoctoral research at Boston College. She served as the Healthy Aging section editor of the California Journal of Health Promotion and secretary of The California Council on Geriatrics and Gerontology and is a past board member of the Valley Caregiver Resource Center. Her definitive report on Aging in the San Joaquin Valley has been utilized by the aging industry in the Valley to improve health and aging services. She speaks and consults locally on various aging issues and serves as a referral specialist for those in need of aging services.
